The upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 is generating strong buzz ahead of its anticipated India launch, with new leaks suggesting a price increase and significant performance upgrades compared to its predecessor. While OnePlus has not officially confirmed the device name, reports indicate that the next Nord series smartphone will soon be available via online platforms in India.
According to industry insiders, the OnePlus Nord 6 is likely to be priced higher than the OnePlus Nord 5, which debuted at Rs. 31,999. Buyers can expect a price hike of around Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 depending on the variant. The smartphone is expected to launch in configurations such as 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
In terms of performance, the handset has reportedly appeared on benchmarking platforms, hinting at a major chipset upgrade. The device is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, featuring an octa core architecture designed for high performance and efficiency. Early benchmark scores suggest strong capabilities in both single core and multi core tasks, indicating improved speed and smoother multitasking.
The OnePlus Nord 6 is also tipped to run on Android 16 and could include an advanced GPU for enhanced gaming and graphics performance.
On the display front, the smartphone is expected to feature a large 6.78 inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate of up to 165Hz and peak brightness reaching 1,800 nits, offering a premium viewing experience for users.
For photography, the device may come equipped with a dual rear camera system, including a 50 megapixel primary sensor along with a secondary monochrome lens. On the front, a 16 megapixel camera is expected for selfies and video calls.
Interestingly, reports suggest that the OnePlus Nord CE 6 might not launch alongside the standard Nord 6 model, contrary to earlier expectations.
With upgraded hardware improved performance and a premium display the OnePlus Nord 6 is shaping up to be a strong contender in India’s mid to high range smartphone market.
