OnePlus Open Apex Edition Launched in India: New 1TB Storage, Crimson Shadow Colour

The OnePlus Open Apex Edition has been officially launched in India, introducing a fresh variant nearly a year after the initial model’s debut. This new edition comes in a striking Crimson Shadow shade with a luxurious leather finish on the back. The OnePlus Open Apex Edition is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and features an impressive 7.82-inch foldable inner display and a 6.31-inch AMOLED cover screen.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition Price in India

Priced at Rs. 1,49,999, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition offers 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. This new variant is available in the unique Crimson Shadow color with a leather back panel. For comparison, the original OnePlus Open launched last October at Rs. 1,39,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration, available in Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black colors.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition Specifications

The OnePlus Open Apex Edition operates on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14, featuring a 7.82-inch (2,268×2,440 pixels) 2K Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED inner display and a 6.31-inch (1,116×2,484 pixels) 2K LTPO 3.0 Super Fluid AMOLED cover screen. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, with the RAM expandable by up to 12GB. The standard OnePlus Open offers 16GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of cameras, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition features a Hasselblad-tuned triple camera setup, including a 48-megapixel Sony LYT-T808 CMOS primary camera, a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3X optical zoom and 6X in-sensor zoom, and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra wide-angle camera. It also boasts a 20-megapixel primary selfie camera and a 32-megapixel secondary camera.

A standout feature of the OnePlus Open Apex Edition is the new VIP mode, which enhances privacy by blocking access to cameras, microphones, and other features when the Alert Slider is moved to the top position. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, A-GPS, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port. The device is equipped with various sensors including an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, e-compass, flick-detect sensor, and ambient light sensor. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock for authentication. Additionally, it features an X-axis motor.

OnePlus has equipped the Open Apex Edition with a 4,805mAh battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC charging, ensuring long-lasting performance and quick recharge times.
