OnePlus has begun rolling out its latest OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Nord 4, and OnePlus Pad 2 in India. The update introduces Android 15 enhancements, improved customization features, and better privacy controls, while also including the March 2025 Android security patch. The announcement was made on the OnePlus Community Forum, detailing the latest features and optimizations for these devices.
Key Features of the OxygenOS 15 Update
With the OxygenOS 15.0.0.701 software version, users of the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Nord 4, and OnePlus Pad 2 can now resize home screen folders, choosing between 1×2 and 2×1 grid layouts. The update also refines notification animations and quick settings transitions. Additionally, the visual appearance and size of third-party widgets can now be adjusted for better UI consistency.
Privacy and Security Enhancements:
The Privacy Centre has been integrated into Phone Manager, making it easier for OnePlus 12R users to review app permissions. A new feature alerts users if an app accesses their location for three consecutive days in the background, enabling them to modify permissions accordingly. Another notable addition allows users to reset their privacy password using their OnePlus account.
Enhanced Connectivity and Bug Reporting:
The update improves Wi-Fi network switching and mobile data roaming across all three devices, ensuring a smoother online experience. Additionally, smart car connectivity now supports screen mirroring, casting, and Android Auto compatibility. Bug reporting has also been made simpler through the OnePlus Community App, allowing users to submit reports directly from their profile under the Bug Report section.
With these improvements, OnePlus continues to refine its OxygenOS experience, delivering customization, security, and connectivity enhancements for its users.
