Oppo has announced the upcoming release of its A6c smartphone in China, scheduled for January 15 at 10am local time 7:30am IST. The company has teased the device’s design and colour choices, confirming green and purple finishes. Official teaser images show a vertically stacked capsule-shaped dual-camera module with an LED flash on the back, hinting that the A6c may be closely related to the Oppo A6x 5G, which debuted in India in December 2025.
While Oppo has not disclosed technical specifications for the A6c, it is expected to feature a large high-refresh-rate LCD display powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, likely the Dimensity 6300, along with a high-capacity battery and fast-charging support. The design and camera arrangement suggest the A6c could be a rebranded Oppo A6x 5G for the Chinese market.
The Oppo A6x 5G offers a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1,125 nits peak brightness, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, and connectivity options including 5G Wi-Fi 5 Bluetooth 5.4 USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. More details on the Oppo A6c will emerge ahead of its official Chinese launch.
