MediaTek has confirmed that its latest flagship processor Dimensity 9500s will power upcoming premium smartphones launching in India. The Oppo Find X9s and select models from the Poco X8 series are expected to be among the first devices in the country to feature the new chipset. The announcement was made during a MediaTek event in New Delhi highlighting India as a key market for next generation flagship smartphones.
The Oppo Find X9s is officially confirmed to use the Dimensity 9500s processor and is expected to debut in India during the second quarter of 2026. Poco has also revealed that its upcoming Poco X8 Pro Max will be powered by the same chipset. Additionally Realme has teased the arrival of the GT 8 smartphone in India featuring MediaTek’s new flagship silicon.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500s is built on an advanced 3nm manufacturing process and is designed to compete with top tier processors including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It features a powerful CPU configuration with one Arm Cortex X925 Ultra core clocked at 3.73GHz supported by three Cortex X4 cores and four Cortex A720 cores. Graphics performance is handled by the Immortalis G925 GPU offering enhanced gaming and visual capabilities.
MediaTek has also focused heavily on artificial intelligence with the Dimensity 9500s integrating a new MediaTek NPU that supports generative AI and agentic AI features. The chipset supports LPDDR5X RAM UFS 4.0 storage WQHD plus displays with refresh rates up to 180Hz and camera sensors up to 320 megapixels. Connectivity options include Wi Fi 7 Bluetooth 5.4 dual SIM 5G and global navigation systems including NavIC. Power efficiency is improved through MediaTek UltraSave 4.0 technology.
With multiple brands confirming devices powered by Dimensity 9500s the chipset is set to play a major role in shaping India’s flagship smartphone market in 2026.
