The upcoming POCO C85 5G—already available in select global markets—has surfaced on the Google Play Console, hinting at an imminent launch in India. The new listing confirms the Indian model number and offers an early look at key hardware features, design cues, and performance upgrades expected for the India-bound version.

According to the listing, the Indian variant carries the model number 2508CPC2BI, marking it as a dedicated release for the region. Internally codenamed “tornado”, the device appears to feature a redesigned flat display with slim borders and a classic waterdrop-style notch housing the selfie camera. Button placement remains simple, with power and volume keys positioned on the right side.

The Play Console entry suggests that the POCO C85 5G for India will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor (MT6835), featuring an octa-core setup consisting of two Arm Cortex-A76 cores at 2.20GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.00GHz. This chipset is paired with an Arm Mali-G57 GPU clocked at 962MHz and 4GB RAM, making it positioned for budget-friendly 5G performance.

The device is listed running Android 16 Beta (SDK 36), pointing toward an updated software foundation at launch. The screen resolution shown in the listing is 720 × 1600 pixels with a 320 xhdpi density.

The global version of the POCO C85 launched earlier in September with a Helio G81-Ultra chip, up to 8GB RAM, and larger storage options, meaning the Indian variant may arrive with a different hardware profile tailored to local pricing and market positioning. With its appearance on Google Play Console, the Indian launch seems closer than ever.
