Poco has already confirmed that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, positioning it as one of the most powerful smartphones in the company’s lineup. Leaked design images shared by a tipster show the Poco F8 Ultra in two finishes a classic black option and a denim-style texture. The phone features a flat front display and a rectangular rear camera module marked with a Sound by Bose label suggesting enhanced audio tuning. Camera capabilities could be another highlight with a 50 megapixel primary sensor with OIS a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32 megapixel front camera is also expected for selfies and video calls and biometric security may be handled by an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
On the display front the Poco F8 Ultra is rumoured to feature a large 6.9 inch LTPS AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2608×1200. With a metal frame IP69-rated protection and Bose-tuned speakers the handset is shaping up to be a premium offering in the upper flagship segment. It is expected to measure 163.3×77.8×8.05mm and weigh around 220g making it a substantial yet sleek device for users who want high performance and robust design.
