Poco’s next-generation mid-range smartphone appears to be edging closer to launch, with fresh benchmark details revealing key performance and software information. The Poco X8 Pro has now been spotted on Geekbench, giving an early indication of the hardware powering the device and hinting at its positioning as the successor to the Poco X7 Pro.
According to the benchmark listing, the Poco X8 Pro carries the model number Xiaomi 2511FPC34G, suggesting this is the global variant of the handset. The device recorded a single-core score of 1708 and a multi-core score of 6297, pointing to a noticeable performance upgrade over its predecessor.
The Geekbench data shows an octa-core chipset configuration with multiple high-performance cores and a prime core clocked up to 3.40GHz, paired with a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU. These specifications strongly indicate the presence of the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The listing also reveals 12GB of RAM and Android 16, likely layered with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 user interface.
Leaks suggest the Poco X8 Pro could debut globally as early as March, possibly alongside a Poco X8 Pro Max variant. In European markets, pricing is expected to start around EUR 399 for the base storage option, with higher configurations carrying a premium. Colour choices are tipped to include black, white, and green.
Industry chatter further suggests that the Poco X8 Pro may be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5, which launched in China earlier this year. If true, buyers can expect features such as a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system, a high-capacity battery exceeding 7,500mAh, and ultra-fast wired charging support.
