Actor Ranbir Kapoor has openly praised the spy action thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, calling it his current favourite film. The actor shared his admiration during a recent live interaction with fans through his lifestyle brand Ark, where he answered questions and spoke candidly about cinema.

When asked about the last movie that truly impressed him, Ranbir did not hesitate to name Dhurandhar. He applauded the film’s scale, performances and overall execution, saying the entire cast and crew delivered an outstanding cinematic experience. According to Ranbir, the film stood out as a memorable big-screen moment and showcased what strong storytelling and performances can achieve together.

The praise from Ranbir adds to the growing list of Bollywood celebrities who have publicly lauded Dhurandhar. Filmmakers and actors including Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma have also shared positive reactions, while Alia Bhatt’s production house Eternal Sunshine Productions celebrated the film’s historic box office success on social media, calling it a defining moment for Indian cinema.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as an Indian intelligence operative on a high-risk mission to infiltrate criminal networks in Pakistan’s Lyari region. The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan, with strong supporting performances that helped elevate the narrative.

The film went on to create box office history, earning over ₹1300 crore globally and becoming the first Hindi film to cross the ₹1000 crore mark in domestic collections. Its success has significantly raised expectations for the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is set to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
