Realme is gearing up to unveil its next-generation smartphone, the Realme GT 7, in April 2025. While the exact launch date is yet to be disclosed, the company has confirmed that the upcoming device will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC. Recent leaks suggest that the Realme GT 7 will come with a 7,000mAh or larger battery and support 100W wired fast charging. The device is also expected to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Realme GT 6, which was launched in July 2024 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Realme GT 7 to Arrive in April with Powerful Upgrades
A recent announcement on Weibo confirmed that the Realme GT 7 will officially be introduced in China this April. Although an exact date has not been mentioned, the smartphone will feature a cutting-edge 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. A dedicated microsite has also gone live, hinting at its imminent arrival.
Additionally, Realme Vice President Xu Qi Chase stated that the GT Performance Engine 2.0 will power the new device, significantly improving chipset performance, AI-backed features, and offering unprecedented cooling solutions for high-performance gaming. The GT 7 is also expected to feature industry-leading endurance and enhanced frame rate stability.
Key Features and Expected Specifications of Realme GT 7
Leaks indicate that the Realme GT 7 could house a 7,000mAh or larger battery, making it one of the highest-capacity smartphone batteries in its segment. The device is set to support 100W wired fast charging, ensuring a quick and efficient power-up experience. Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to sport a flat display and weigh less than the Realme GT 6, which currently weighs 206g and has an 8.43mm thickness.
For comparison, the Realme GT 6 was introduced at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It features a 6.78-inch 2K micro-curved display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 5,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
Realme GT 7 Pro and Its Premium Features
Previously, Realme launched the GT 7 Pro in November 2024, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 6,500mAh battery, and 120W wired fast charging. The GT 7 Pro is also equipped with a 50MP triple rear camera setup, including a periscope telephoto sensor, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and high-end performance optimizations. It was introduced at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 43,800) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
