Realme has officially previewed the design and colour options of its upcoming smartphone Realme Neo 8 ahead of its scheduled China launch on January 22. Positioned as the successor to the Realme Neo 7 the new model is aimed squarely at performance driven users and esports enthusiasts with a striking transparent RGB inspired rear design and high end hardware confirmations.
According to details shared on Realme’s official social media channels the Realme Neo 8 will be introduced in three distinct colour variants named Cyber Purple Mecha Gray and Origin White. Cyber Purple is described as a futuristic play arena inspired shade Mecha Gray reflects a deep industrial aesthetic while Origin White focuses on a clean minimal and premium finish. Despite the different colours all three variants retain the same transparent back panel with RGB lighting effects and orange accented VOOC branding giving the phone a unified gaming focused identity.
The transparent rear design showcases select internal elements and features Realme’s signature Awakening Halo RGB lighting positioned near the camera module. The camera island carries HYPERIMAGE+ branding while visible NFC markings hint at built in NFC support. This design language reinforces the device’s esports inspired positioning while maintaining a premium visual appeal.
On the display front the Realme Neo 8 is confirmed to feature a 165Hz Samsung M14 OLED panel developed using the latest Samsung Display technology. The screen is expected to offer improved brightness energy efficiency and extended lifespan thanks to new luminescent materials. For security the handset will include an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor embedded under the display and Crystal Armor Glass protection designed to enhance scratch resistance and drop durability.
Powering the device is the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset which Realme claims delivers benchmark scores exceeding 3.58 million on AnTuTu. This places the Neo 8 firmly in flagship performance territory. Camera hardware is equally ambitious with a triple rear camera setup including a periscope telephoto lens capable of delivering up to 120x zoom. Large R angle corner design elements are also incorporated to improve grip comfort during extended gaming or media use.
With its combination of cutting edge performance gaming centric design and premium display technology the Realme Neo 8 is shaping up to be one of the most aggressive flagship style launches in early 2026. More official details are expected to be revealed as the China launch date approaches.
