The Realme Neo 8 is set to launch in China on January 12 and has appeared on Geekbench revealing key specifications. The handset features model number RMX8899 and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 octa-core processor with two high-performance cores clocked at 3.80GHz and four efficiency cores at 3.32GHz. The phone runs Android 16 and comes with 16GB RAM on paper, scoring 2,876 points in single-core and 9,244 points in multi-core tests.
Realme confirmed the Neo 8 will have a Samsung Display and a Cyber Purple finish with a transparent rear panel. The device is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Photography is handled by a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with 120x digital zoom support and a 16-megapixel front camera.
The handset includes an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. The Realme Neo 8 succeeds the Realme Neo 7 and aims to impress with high-end specs and performance for the Neo series.
