The upcoming Redmi K100 is expected to bring major hardware upgrades, with new leaks suggesting improvements in battery capacity, charging technology, and overall performance. The smartphone, which is likely to succeed the Redmi K90 lineup, has started generating buzz online ahead of its official announcement.

According to recent reports from Chinese tipsters, the Redmi K100 may arrive with a significantly larger battery compared to its predecessor. The device is tipped to include an enormous 8,500mAh battery, offering extended battery life for gaming, streaming, and heavy daily use. Reports also indicate that the brand is testing even bigger battery configurations for future devices.

Alongside the larger battery, the smartphone is expected to support 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device quickly despite the increased battery size. One of the biggest anticipated upgrades is the addition of 50W wireless fast charging support — a feature that was missing from the previous Redmi K90 model.

The rumoured Redmi K100 is also expected to feature a 6.6-inch display, potentially offering a high refresh rate and enhanced visual quality aimed at gamers and multimedia users. Internally, the handset is reportedly codenamed “Athens” and could be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on advanced 3nm architecture for improved efficiency and performance.

Leaks further suggest that the upcoming K100 series may include multiple models, including a standard Redmi K100 and a more premium Redmi K100 Pro Max variant. The higher-end version is expected to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 processor.

Camera upgrades are also rumored for the new lineup. Reports claim the Redmi K100 series could introduce a 200MP primary camera sensor along with a new periscope telephoto lens, delivering better zoom capabilities and improved photography performance. This would mark a noticeable improvement over the Redmi K90’s existing triple-camera setup.

Although Xiaomi official website has not yet confirmed the specifications or launch timeline, the leaked details suggest that the Redmi K100 could become one of the brand’s most feature-packed smartphones to date.
