Redmi has officially confirmed the launch timeline of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Redmi K90 Max, along with key display specifications. The device is set to debut in China on April 21, 2026, with the launch event scheduled for 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST).

The Redmi K90 Max is being positioned as a performance-driven smartphone, especially for gaming enthusiasts. It will feature a large 6.83-inch M10 display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering ultra-smooth visuals. The company has also revealed that the display can handle gaming at up to 160 frames per second across more than 40 supported games.

In addition, the smartphone is expected to offer impressive brightness levels of up to 3500 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in bright environments. For enhanced responsiveness, it will include a 3500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 480Hz multi-touch sampling rate, improving accuracy during gameplay.

To manage heat during intense usage, the Redmi K90 Max will come equipped with a dual-core air cooling system. On the audio front, the device will feature stereo dual speakers tuned in collaboration with Bose, promising an immersive sound experience.

The smartphone is already open for pre-reservations in China via official channels, with promotional offers including trade-in discounts for eligible users. It will be available in a Space Silver color variant.

The device is also confirmed to feature a highly durable design with IP66 IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Rumors suggest it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and backed by a massive battery exceeding 8000mAh, along with support for 100W fast wired charging.

The Redmi K90 Max will join the existing lineup, including the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max, which were previously launched with advanced hardware and large battery capacities.
