Xiaomi has quietly introduced its latest smartphones, the Redmi R70 5G and Redmi R70m 5G, in China, revealing complete specifications, features, and pricing details. Both devices come with a similar design language and share key hardware, while offering slight variations in battery size and memory configurations.
The two smartphones feature a large 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, delivering a smooth viewing and gaming experience. The screen supports up to 800 nits brightness along with DC dimming and Wet Hand Touch 2.0 functionality.
Powering both models is the Unisoc T8300 chipset built on a 6nm architecture, paired with Mali G57 GPU for graphics performance. The devices are equipped with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, and run on HyperOS 3 out of the box.
In terms of photography, both the Redmi R70 5G and Redmi R70m 5G offer a 13-megapixel primary rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity features include 5G support along with 4G LTE 3G and 2G networks Wi Fi 5 Bluetooth 5.4 NFC GPS and USB Type C. The smartphones also include essential sensors such as an accelerometer compass and virtual proximity and light sensors.
The main difference between the two models lies in battery and memory. The Redmi R70 5G packs a 6000mAh battery, while the Redmi R70m 5G offers a larger 6300mAh battery. Both support 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging.
Pricing starts at CNY 1599 for the base variant of the Redmi R70 5G, while the Redmi R70m 5G begins at CNY 1799. The phones are available in multiple color options including blue purple white and black and are currently listed for sale in China.
