Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to introduce the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Pro smartphones in China, and fresh leaks suggest that both models will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity processors. According to tipster information circulating online, the Redmi Turbo 5 series could be among the first smartphones to feature the unreleased Dimensity 8500 and Dimensity 9500e chipsets, which are expected to be officially announced in early 2026.

The standard Redmi Turbo 5 is tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC. This chipset is believed to be manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 4nm process and could deliver clock speeds of up to 3.4GHz. With this upgrade, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to offer noticeable improvements in performance efficiency, multitasking, and gaming compared to the previous Turbo 4, which featured the Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is said to be even more powerful, with leaks pointing to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500e processor. This flagship-grade chipset is rumoured to be built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm N3E process and may reach clock speeds of up to 3.73GHz. The Dimensity 9500e is also expected to include a high-performance G925 MP12 GPU, which could significantly boost graphics performance, making the Turbo 5 Pro a strong contender for gaming and heavy workloads.

In terms of battery and charging, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is reported to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery paired with 100W fast wired charging support. Such a large battery capacity could position the device as one of the longest-lasting smartphones in its segment. The standard Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to feature a slightly smaller but still impressive 8,000mAh battery, while retaining the same 100W fast charging capability.

Display details have also surfaced through rumours. The Redmi Turbo 5 is said to sport a 6.5-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution, offering sharp visuals and efficient power consumption. While full display specifications for the Pro variant are not yet clear, it is likely to include similar or upgraded panel technology.

Previous reports suggested that Xiaomi might unveil the Redmi Turbo 5 series in China as early as February 2026, possibly alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro has also been spotted on China’s 3C certification platform, further indicating that an official launch may not be far away. If these leaks turn out to be accurate, the Redmi Turbo 5 lineup could mark a major step forward for Xiaomi in terms of performance, battery innovation, and next-generation chipset adoption.
