Luxury new energy vehicle brand ROX Motor has officially entered a strategic collaboration with W Motors to begin manufacturing operations in Abu Dhabi. This milestone marks ROX Motor’s first production facility outside China, positioning the UAE capital as a rising player in the high-performance electric mobility sector.
The inaugural model to come out of this partnership will be the ROX 01, which is set to be produced at W Motors’ advanced manufacturing site in Abu Dhabi. The announcement was made at the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2025 event, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to industrial development, innovation, and sustainability.
This initiative aligns closely with the UAE’s broader ambitions to establish itself as a global leader in automotive innovation while advancing its sustainability goals. Jarvis Yan, CEO and founder of ROX Motor, noted that the partnership would “accelerate regional growth” and serve as a key component of the nation’s long-term industrial roadmap.
Ralph Debbas, CEO of W Motors, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “We are proud to lead the production of ROX 01 right here in Abu Dhabi. This collaboration strengthens our contract manufacturing capabilities and supports the UAE’s vision of becoming a global hub for advanced automotive technology.”
In addition to manufacturing, ROX Motor is deepening its local footprint by investing in UAE-based innovation. The company is partnering with Enercap to develop next-generation battery technologies and is working with Borouge, a leader in petrochemicals, to explore sustainable polyolefin materials for their vehicles.
