Samsung fans may have an early look at the upcoming Galaxy A37 5G as the device recently appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Listed under model number SM-A376B, the smartphone hints at key specifications and confirms that it will run Android 16 out of the box, bringing a smooth and modern user experience.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the Galaxy A37 5G will feature approximately 6GB of RAM (listed as 5.08GB) and an octa-core Exynos chipset, codenamed s5e8845. This processor uses a 4+4 configuration, with four performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four efficiency cores running at 2.05GHz, likely identifying it as the Exynos 1480. In benchmark tests, the device scored 1,158 points in single-core and 3,401 points in multi-core performance, showcasing its balanced performance for daily tasks and multitasking.
The new Galaxy A37 5G is expected to succeed the Galaxy A36 5G, which launched earlier this year in India with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging. The A36 offered up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 50MP rear camera, and a 12MP front camera with IP67-rated water and dust resistance.
Samsung’s move to equip the Galaxy A37 5G with an in-house Exynos chipset signals a strategic shift toward greater integration of proprietary processors in its mid-range lineup. While the official launch date remains unannounced, the Geekbench listing provides a glimpse into what buyers can expect from the next generation of Samsung’s Galaxy A series.
