Samsung has officially confirmed that its upcoming budget 5G smartphone, the Galaxy M36 5G, will launch in India on June 27. With a focus on performance, design, and photography, the smartphone is positioned to succeed last year’s Galaxy M35 5G, bringing notable upgrades across various departments.
The Galaxy M36 5G will be available for purchase via Amazon India and Samsung’s official website. The phone will arrive in three attractive colours — Orange Haze, Serene Green, and Velvet Black — and will be priced under ₹20,000, making it one of the most affordable smartphones in the segment to feature Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Samsung revealed that the Galaxy M36 5G will sport a sleek design with a thickness of just 7.7mm. It will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for added durability. The smartphone is confirmed to run on Android 15-based One UI 7, and is expected to feature AI capabilities such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy M36 5G is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset, coupled with 6GB of RAM. The device was recently spotted on Geekbench with the model number SM-M366B, supporting these details.
For photography enthusiasts, Samsung has equipped the phone with a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP main sensor with OIS support. The cameras will be arranged within a pill-shaped module, with the LED flash placed adjacent to it. Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K videos, catering to high-quality content creation needs.
