Samsung Galaxy M56 5G Set to Launch in India on April 17 With Slimmer Design Enhanced Display and Upgraded Camera

Samsung is gearing up to introduce its latest smartphone in the M series lineup with the official India launch of the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G scheduled for April 17 at 12pm IST. This new device will follow the footsteps of the Galaxy M55 5G which was launched in India in April 2024. The upcoming handset will feature a sleek profile of just 7.2mm, making it 30 percent slimmer than its predecessor and one of the slimmest in its segment while retaining the same weight of 180g.

The Galaxy M56 5G will be available for purchase via Amazon India, as confirmed by a dedicated microsite that is already live. Teasers from Samsung reveal that the device will arrive with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, offering enhanced durability with improved drop resistance and better scratch protection compared to the previous model.

On the display front, the phone will sport a Super AMOLED Plus screen with Vision Booster technology, boasting 36 percent slimmer bezels and a 33 percent brighter panel. These improvements aim to deliver a richer and more immersive viewing experience.

Design-wise, Samsung is also refreshing the rear camera setup. The Galaxy M56 5G will feature a vertical raised pill-shaped module with a new arrangement for the camera lenses. The setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The camera is optimized for low-light photography and will offer AI imaging tools like object eraser and image clipper.

On the front, users can expect a 12-megapixel selfie camera equipped with HDR capabilities for clearer and more vibrant self-portraits.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, according to a recent listing on Geekbench under the model number SM-M566B. It is likely to be paired with 8GB of RAM and will run on the latest Android 15 operating system with the One UI custom skin on top.

The smartphone is likely to be priced between Rs 20000 and Rs 30000, according to promotional materials. While exact RAM and storage configurations haven’t been confirmed, it’s expected to offer similar variants as the Galaxy M55 5G which came in 8GB + 128GB8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB options.

With premium design upgrades enhanced imaging features and a vibrant display the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G aims to attract users looking for an all-rounder smartphone in the mid-range segment.
