The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series could include Google’s AI-driven scam detection feature previously exclusive to Pixel devices. Reports indicate that Samsung may integrate this feature through the Android CallCore app, which handles call functionalities on Android phones. Code analysis of the app and Galaxy S26 Ultra logs suggests support for scam detection on Galaxy S26 Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra models.
Scam detection uses on-device artificial intelligence to analyze conversational text patterns and flag potential scams in real-time. Users receive warnings via pop-ups as well as audio and haptic alerts. Importantly, all processing is done locally on the device ensuring that no call audio or transcripts are sent to Google servers. The feature was first introduced by Google in March 2025 on Pixel phones and Pixel Watch devices.
The discovery of identifiers in the app code such as com.google.android.apps.callcore.SUPPORTED and the reference “Sharpie” points to imminent availability on Samsung’s flagship series. If implemented, the Galaxy S26 lineup would become the first non-Pixel smartphones to offer AI-based scam detection, enhancing user security against fraud calls.
