Samsung is set to enhance its Galaxy S26 lineup with native support for its upcoming 25W Magnetic Qi2 Wireless Charger. This new charger, reportedly named the Samsung Magnetic Wireless Charger, is designed to provide faster wireless charging and magnetic alignment, signaling a shift from the previous “Qi2 Ready” accessories toward full Qi2.2 compatibility. The charger, expected to feature a round dark grey design, will likely replace the current 15W Qi2-compatible model, offering higher charging speeds for Galaxy devices.
Leaked retailer listings reveal that the new charger, model EP-P2900, will support the Galaxy S and Z series smartphones along with Galaxy Buds. Built-in magnets in the Galaxy S26 series are expected to optimize the magnetic alignment and enable full 25W wireless charging, although only the Galaxy S26 Ultra may reach the full 25W, with the S26 and S26+ limited to around 20W. Wired charging speeds are also set to improve, with the S26 supporting 25W, the S26+ up to 45W, and the S26 Ultra potentially reaching 60W using Samsung’s Super Fast Charging 3.0.
Full Qi2.2 support in the Galaxy S26 series is expected to expand Samsung’s ecosystem of magnetic accessories, including stands, car mounts, power banks, SSDs, and wallet attachments. The charger is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series next year, further boosting the devices’ appeal to consumers seeking fast and convenient wireless charging.
