Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition, a special version of its latest foldable smartphone created exclusively for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics 2026. The limited-edition device will be distributed to more than 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians representing around 90 countries, reinforcing Samsung’s long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Designed to support athletes both on and off the field, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition comes in a distinctive blue colourway and features subtle Samsung and Olympic branding on the rear panel. While the hardware specifications remain identical to the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7, the Olympic Edition focuses heavily on software-driven enhancements and exclusive digital services tailored for elite athletes.
One of the key highlights of the Olympic Edition is a dedicated fitness and training app that comes pre-installed on the device. This app allows athletes to monitor workouts track vitals and analyse training performance throughout the Games. To ensure seamless connectivity Samsung will also provide a built-in 5G eSIM offering 100GB of high-speed data enabling athletes to stay connected during training competitions and downtime.
Samsung has further enhanced the athlete experience by introducing the Galaxy Athlete Card a digital feature that allows participants to exchange profiles collect virtual game cards and engage in interactive activities within the Olympic Village. In addition athletes will have access to Athlete365 integrated into Galaxy AI Now Brief helping them stay informed with real-time updates schedules and official Olympic communications.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition will also ship with essential Games-related applications including the official Olympic Games app the IOC Hotline and PinQuest creating a central digital hub for athletes during the event. These features aim to simplify communication improve engagement and support athletes throughout their Olympic journey.
In terms of specifications the Olympic Edition matches the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 which launched in mid-2025.
