Samsung has officially teased its next-generation mobile processor, the Exynos 2600, expected to power the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The new chipset will succeed the Exynos 2500 and marks a renewed focus on in-house SoC development, allowing Samsung to reduce dependence on third-party chipmakers like Qualcomm for its flagship devices. Built by Samsung Foundry, the Exynos 2600 promises improved performance, enhanced AI capabilities, and potential cost savings for Samsung’s premium smartphone lineup.

The 30-second teaser video released by Samsung describes the Exynos 2600 as “refined at the core” and “optimised at every level,” hinting at system-wide improvements over previous generations. The chipset is anticipated to feature a 6+3+1 CPU architecture, including six cores clocked at 2.46GHz, three cores at 2.96GHz, and a prime core capable of reaching 3.55GHz. Early Geekbench leaks for the model S5E9965 indicate a single-core score of 3,047 and a multi-core score of 10,025.

The Exynos 2600 is expected to debut in South Korea and European markets on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, while markets such as the US, Japan, and China may continue to receive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variants. This move strengthens Samsung’s System LSI and foundry divisions while showcasing its advanced 2nm manufacturing process and commitment to delivering competitive AI and performance improvements in the premium smartphone segment.
