Dubai South is set to welcome an exciting new entertainment destination as the popular Scorpion Club prepares to launch its second venue in the city. Known for its vibrant neon aesthetics and dynamic recreational activities, the upcoming venue will open its doors at Dubai Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali, a fast-evolving lifestyle mall.
The new Scorpion Club promises to bring a high-energy indoor arena that blends interactive technology with classic pastimes. Visitors can enjoy an eclectic mix of entertainment, including bowling lanes, electronic darts, sniper shooting simulations, billiards, snooker, and other immersive games suitable for all age groups.
This expansion marks a significant step in turning Dubai South into a vibrant entertainment and shopping hub. Alongside Scorpion Club’s launch, Dubai Festival Plaza has also enhanced its retail offerings. New additions include the introduction of a Danube Home store, a second Crate and Barrel Bazaar, and an extended Pan Home outlet — expanding the mall’s home furnishing and décor options for visitors and residents.
Dubai Festival Plaza is already home to Dubai’s second IKEA branch, with the first located at Dubai Festival City Mall, reinforcing its position as a key retail and lifestyle destination in Jebel Ali.
The development in Dubai South aligns with major infrastructure upgrades, particularly the ambitious transformation of Al Maktoum International Airport into the world’s largest capacity airport. This redevelopment is part of a larger plan to establish a new “city within a city” — turning Dubai South into a fully integrated aerotropolis, first initiated in 2007.
Speaking about the mall’s evolving identity, Hayssam Hajjar, Director of Asset Management at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, highlighted how Festival Plaza is becoming a lifestyle-driven hub. He stated that the venue is tailored to fulfill the needs of surrounding communities through innovative retail concepts and engaging experiences.
With this expansion, Festival Plaza is not just meeting demand — it’s setting new standards for how community-centric malls can integrate leisure, shopping, and entertainment under one roof.
