German audio equipment leader Sennheiser has launched its latest high-fidelity over-ear headphones in India—the Sennheiser HD 505 Copper Edition. The new release continues the legacy of the popular HD 500 series and brings several notable upgrades. Featuring an open-back design and a sophisticated chassis, the HD 505 is engineered to provide an immersive and natural soundstage for audiophiles and professionals alike.
The Sennheiser HD 505 headphones come equipped with in-house developed 120-ohm dynamic transducers manufactured at the brand’s Tullamore facility in Ireland. These specially angled transducers are designed to replicate the spatial effect of near-field monitors to deliver an expansive listening experience. The headphone boasts a frequency response of 12Hz to 38500Hz, ensuring crystal-clear audio across the spectrum, while maintaining a total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 0.2 percent.
Buyers will appreciate the thoughtful physical design as well. The headphones feature a comfortable synthetic leather headband and breathable metal mesh earcup covers. The package includes interchangeable earpads and a drawstring carry pouch, while the unit weighs just 237g, making it light enough for extended use without discomfort.
The HD 505 ships with a detachable 1.8-meter cable featuring a 3.5mm audio jack, along with an adapter that converts it into a 6.35mm screw-on connector—allowing seamless compatibility with amplifiers, professional sound systems, A/V receivers, and more.
