With Ramadan underway in Dubai many residents and visitors are planning their fasting routines around the daily prayer timetable. One of the most common questions throughout the holy month is when exactly suhoor ends each day.

Suhoor refers to the pre dawn meal eaten before the start of fasting. The fast officially begins at Fajr the dawn prayer which means suhoor must be completed shortly before this time. Because sunrise shifts slightly earlier each day the Fajr prayer also gradually moves earlier across the month.

In Dubai during Ramadan 2026 fasting on Thursday March 5 Ramadan 16 begins at 5.22am. From that point onward Fajr becomes earlier by about one minute daily reaching 5.08am on the expected final day of Ramadan March 19. Worshippers are advised to stop eating a few minutes before the listed Fajr time as a precaution.

Below are the confirmed Fajr timings marking the end of suhoor in Dubai for the remaining days of Ramadan:

Thursday Mar 5 Ramadan 16 – Fajr 5.22am

Iftar which marks the breaking of the fast takes place at Maghrib prayer just after sunset each evening. Throughout the city hotels and restaurants host traditional and luxury suhoor and iftar gatherings while many families also observe the meals at home.

Ramadan follows the lunar Hijri calendar lasting either 29 or 30 days depending on moon sightings. The holy month began this year on February 18 and will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr a festive period filled with communal prayers gatherings and shared meals.

As prayer times can occasionally vary slightly depending on official announcements residents are encouraged to follow trusted local prayer schedules for the most accurate daily updates.
