Tecno has expanded its 5G smartphone lineup in India with the official launch of the Tecno Pova 7 5G and Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G. Both new models are powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 7300 Ultimate SoC built on a 4nm process and promise impressive performance backed by big batteries and smart features for Indian users.
The Tecno Pova 7 series stands out with its unique Delta Light Interface on the rear panel featuring 104 mini LED lights that react dynamically to music playback notifications charging status and volume changes. Both phones come preloaded with Tecno’s Ella AI assistant which supports a variety of Indian languages including Hindi Marathi Tamil and more making these phones more accessible to diverse users.
On the display front the Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a sharp 1.5K resolution 144Hz refresh rate 240Hz touch sampling rate and up to 4500 nits of peak brightness for an immersive visual experience. Meanwhile the standard Tecno Pova 7 5G variant has a 6.78-inch full-HD+ LTPS IPS display that can reach up to 900 nits in high brightness mode.
Both devices ship with Android 15-based HiOS 15 and offer up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Pova 7 Pro 5G model packs 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM while the base model comes with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM. These phones also feature Tecno’s advanced network optimisations like intelligent signal boosting 4×4 MIMO support and VOWiFi Dual Pass which ensures reliable connectivity even in low-signal areas by allowing call waiting on the second SIM while the first is in use.
In terms of cameras the Tecno Pova 7 5G features a 50MP primary rear sensor with a Light sensor while the Pova 7 Pro 5G steps up with a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor paired with an 8MP secondary shooter. Both devices offer a 13MP selfie camera for clear front-facing photos and video calls.
Battery life is a major highlight as both phones pack large 6000mAh batteries with support for 45W wired fast charging. The Pova 7 Pro 5G takes it up a notch by adding 30W wireless fast charging making it one of the few phones in its segment to offer this feature.
For pricing the Tecno Pova 7 5G starts at Rs 12,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 13,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option. The Pro version is priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 17,999 for the same storage configurations respectively. Colour options include Geek Black Magic Silver and Oasis Green for the base model while the Pro version comes in Dynamic Grey Geek Black and Neon Cyan. Sales will begin via Flipkart from July 10.
