Cruise posted a photo on his social media of the two holding popcorn with Twisters posters, captioned, “Fun night with friends, watching a movie!!” Cruise sported a casual look with a white T-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a black jacket, while Powell donned a black suit.
Glen Powell is currently enjoying a wave of success, with recent hits like Anyone But You and Richard Linklater’s Hit Man. His career resurgence can be traced back to his role in Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick, where he played Lieutenant Jake Seresin, aka Hangman.
At the Twisters premiere, Powell also shared the photo on Instagram, captioning it, “When your wingman follows you into the storm…” The post drew enthusiastic responses from fellow actors, including Aaron Paul, who commented, “Obsessed with this. Two legends,” and Octavia Spencer, who posted fire emojis. Daisy Edgar-Jones, Powell’s Twisters co-star, also left exclamation marks.
