Tom Cruise stepped out to support his former co-star Glen Powell at a special early screening of the upcoming film The Running Man and shared his enthusiastic reaction after watching it. The Hollywood icon appeared thrilled during the event as he posed with Powell while holding themed popcorn boxes designed with the movie’s title.

Cruise later posted his thoughts on social media, expressing that the evening was full of excitement and good company. He celebrated the team behind the movie, mentioning that the action-packed storytelling kept him fully engaged throughout the screening. He also added with humor that he enjoyed more popcorn than he should have.

Glen Powell also posted similar photos from the night, appreciating Cruise’s presence and calling him the ultimate “Running Man.” This is not the first time the two have publicly supported each other. Powell previously shared a moment from the London premiere of Twisters where Cruise attended to cheer him on, calling him the wingman who always shows up.

The two actors famously worked together in the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, a film that became one of the biggest theatrical successes worldwide in 2022. Their off-screen friendship seems to be continuing strongly as both celebrate each other’s projects.

The Running Man is based on the well-known novel by Stephen King and follows a desperate father who joins a dangerous televised competition in the hope of saving his sick daughter. Contestants in the show must avoid deadly hunters for 30 days while their every move is broadcast to a thrill-seeking audience. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on November 14.
