UAE travellers faced significant disruption today as major airlines suspended or redirected flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah due to regional airspace closures. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly urged all UAE nationals, residents, and visitors to confirm their travel plans with carriers before heading to the airport.

Dubai Airports (DXB & DWC):
Emirates and flydubai have temporarily halted flights to destinations including Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, with Emirates extending suspensions to Baghdad, Basra, and Tehran until June 30. Flights to Amman and Beirut have resumed daytime operations. Delays and cancellations are expected at both Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum (DWC) airports.

Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH):
Etihad Airways has suspended its Abu Dhabi–Tel Aviv route until July 15, using alternative routing or rebooking options. Operations at Zayed International remain unstable, with ongoing cancellations and disruptions.

Sharjah & Air Arabia:
Air Arabia, flying from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, has temporarily paused services to countries such as Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and Azerbaijan until June 30, with additional delays and reroutes.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi:
Wizz Air has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv and European routes via Amman until September 15, also avoiding Israeli, Iraqi, Iranian, and Syrian airspace. Impacted customers are being contacted directly.

Sharjah International Airport:
Passengers have been advised to regularly check flight status due to cancellations and delays caused by airspace restrictions, with cooperation ongoing among airport authorities and airlines.
