Air travel across the United Arab Emirates is steadily returning to normal following recent regional disruptions. Authorities confirmed that airports and airlines are gradually restoring operations while maintaining strict safety procedures for passengers and aviation staff.

According to the General Civil Aviation Authority, more than 1.4 million travellers have already passed through the country’s airports since the beginning of March. The recovery has been supported by carefully coordinated operational and regulatory steps designed to keep flights running while prioritising safety.

The country’s largest airline Emirates is currently operating a limited schedule covering about 110 destinations worldwide. The airline has stated that it plans to gradually return to a full flight schedule in the coming days as regional airspace conditions improve.

Meanwhile flydubai resumed a reduced number of flights across several destinations on March 5. The airline confirmed that services will continue to expand as restrictions ease and more routes become available.

Some international carriers are still adjusting their schedules. For example British Airways has suspended flights to Dubai International Airport until later in the month although a specific date for resumption has not yet been confirmed.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, who also serves as chairman of the aviation authority’s board, explained that the UAE handled the recent situation through a balanced strategy focused on protecting travellers while maintaining the continuity of the aviation sector.

He emphasised that the safety of passengers pilots cabin crew and aviation personnel remains the top priority when decisions are made regarding airspace operations and flight management.

Despite challenges in the region authorities ensured that travel continued through limited operations and approved contingency flight routes while maintaining international safety standards.

Latest Updates from Dubai Airports

Operations have partially resumed at both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport after a brief suspension that took place earlier in March.

Airport officials advised travellers to avoid heading to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking or have been directly notified by their airline. As flight schedules continue to change passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for the most recent updates before travelling.

Emirates Flight Schedule and Passenger Options

Emirates has confirmed that passengers with existing bookings will be prioritised on the currently operating flights. Travellers connecting through Dubai will only be permitted to travel if their onward flight is also running.

Customers who were affected by schedule changes still have the option to rebook their flights or request a refund depending on their booking conditions.

flydubai Flight Services

flydubai also confirmed that it is continuing to operate a limited number of services while gradually increasing its network as restrictions are lifted. Due to temporary changes in flight paths some journeys may take longer than usual.

Passengers are advised to check flight status updates before travelling to the airport as schedules remain dynamic while the situation across the region continues to be monitored closely.
