The Fast & Furious family could soon reunite with Brian O’Conner one last time if Vin Diesel’s recent hint becomes reality. The iconic action saga’s star and producer revealed that the franchise’s final film, Fast & Furious 11, may bring back the beloved character originally portrayed by the late Paul Walker.

During an appearance at Fuel Fest in Pomona California, an event hosted by Paul Walker’s brother Cody Walker Vin Diesel opened up to fans about his vision for the last installment of the high-octane series. Diesel shared that Universal Studios asked him about the best plan to wrap up the long-running franchise in 2027.

According to Diesel he agreed only under three heartfelt conditions. First he wants the series to return to its original roots in Los Angeles. Second he insisted on revisiting the authentic car culture that made the early films iconic bringing street racing back to the forefront. Finally Diesel’s most moving request is the one that has fans buzzing worldwide: he wants to reunite his character Dominic Toretto with Brian O’Conner for the final ride.

“Just yesterday I was with Universal and they said ‘Vin can we wrap this in April 2027?’” Diesel told the crowd. “I said only if we go back to L.A. back to street racing and we see Dom and Brian together again. That is what you’re going to get.”

Paul Walker tragically lost his life in a car accident back in November 2013 while filming Fast & Furious 7. The filmmakers gave Brian a heartfelt send-off using cutting-edge CGI visual effects and stand-in performances by Walker’s brothers Cody and Caleb Walker. The emotional final scene of Dom and Brian driving separate roads remains one of cinema’s most touching farewells.

The previous chapter Fast X released in May 2023 included big stars like Jason Momoa Michelle Rodriguez Brie Larson Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno. But as the series gears up for a nostalgic return to its street racing roots fans are bracing themselves for what might be the most emotional farewell yet — a tribute to the franchise’s legacy and its bond with Paul Walker.

Fans around the world will now wait to see how Diesel Universal Studios and the Walker family bring Brian O’Conner back to the screen once more giving the Fast & Furious saga the send-off it truly deserves.
