Virat Kohli made a powerful return to competitive cricket as he guided Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a convincing win in the IPL 2026 opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also shared a valuable 97-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen, who added 31 runs to support the innings.
Despite SRH’s strong total, RCB’s disciplined chase led by Kohli ensured a winning start to their campaign, sending a strong message to the rest of the teams in IPL 2026.
