The upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra has taken a step closer to launch after appearing on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database, officially confirming its marketing name. The listing reveals the model number V2562 and marks one of the first instances where the Ultra branding has been directly associated with the device. The certification also includes the Vivo X300 FE carrying model number V2537, suggesting both phones could debut around the same timeframe.
The X300 Ultra had previously surfaced on IMEI EEC and TKDN platforms but those databases only disclosed internal model numbers without naming the final product. With multiple certifications now secured a global rollout is expected soon while the China launch may happen in the coming weeks.
Camera innovation is likely to be a major highlight of the Vivo X300 Ultra. Industry leaks suggest the device could introduce a new teleconverter kit at launch potentially supporting an attachable 400mm fixed focus prime lens along with a 200mm focal length option. This dual lens setup is being described as an industry first and may operate as an external accessory rather than a built in module due to its size. Vivo is also expected to expand its V mount ecosystem positioning the X300 Ultra as a powerful tool for long range mobile photography especially at concerts and live events.
In terms of hardware the smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.82 inch flat BOE OLED display with near 2K resolution and LTPO technology for adaptive refresh rates. It may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and backed by a large battery close to 7000mAh capacity.
The camera system could include a 200 megapixel Sony LYT 901 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 828 ultra wide sensor and a 200 megapixel Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens. For selfies the handset is rumoured to carry a 50 megapixel front camera with autofocus support.
If these specifications prove accurate the Vivo X300 Ultra could emerge as one of the most photography focused flagship smartphones of the year offering advanced optics powerful hardware and extended battery life in a single premium package.
