Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global unveiling timeline for its next flagship smartphone lineup. The Xiaomi 17 series is scheduled to make its international debut later this month with the launch event expected to introduce the Xiaomi 17 and the premium Xiaomi 17 Ultra to global markets.
The announcement was revealed through an official Xiaomi microsite which confirms that the global launch will take place in Barcelona on February 28. While the company has not explicitly named the models debuting at the event promotional visuals strongly hint at the arrival of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra showcased in its distinctive Starry Green colour. The standard Xiaomi 17 is also widely expected to launch alongside it.
The Xiaomi 17 series originally debuted in China with the Xiaomi 17 launching in September 2025 followed by the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in December. Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and feature Leica-backed camera systems aimed at photography enthusiasts.
Ahead of the global launch Xiaomi has also detailed added customer benefits. Buyers of the Xiaomi 17 series will receive a 24-month quality assurance plan along with one complimentary screen replacement within the first six months. Additionally out-of-warranty repairs during the coverage period will not incur labour charges.
Recent leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 17 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at EUR 999 while the 12GB and 512GB variant may cost EUR 1,099. Expected colour options include Black Green Blue and Pink. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is tipped to start at EUR 1,499 for the 16GB and 512GB version with the top-end 16GB and 1TB variant priced at EUR 1,699. The Ultra model is likely to arrive in Black White and Green shades.
Although Xiaomi has not confirmed an India launch yet early estimates suggest that the Xiaomi 17 could be priced around Rs. 80,000 while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra may retail at approximately Rs. 1,25,000 marking a noticeable increase over the previous generation.
