Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its latest premium mid-range smartphone — the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro — with the official launch expected on May 22, coinciding with the company’s 15th-anniversary celebrations in China. The device is currently open for pre-reservations via Xiaomi’s official website, where design renders and technical specifications have already generated buzz.
The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will arrive in four color options — Nebula Purple, Sakura Pink, Black, and White — showcasing a slim and elegant profile with a 7.45mm thick metal middle frame. The smartphone features a 6.55-inch 1.5K micro-curved OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, and reaches a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The display also holds TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification for enhanced eye comfort.
Powering the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is the newly announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which promises improved performance and efficiency. The handset is expected to be backed by a 6,000mAh battery, providing long-lasting usage without frequent recharges.
In the camera department, Xiaomi has partnered once again with Leica to deliver a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel floating telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. On the front, users will enjoy a high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture, designed for sharp and detailed self-portraits.
Xiaomi is also expected to reveal a range of new products during the May 22 event, including the XRING O1 chipset, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, and its first SUV model Xiaomi YU7. With strong specifications and a polished design, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is positioned as a powerful and stylish choice in the competitive smartphone market.
