Xiaomi appears to be preparing its next generation of Civi smartphones, as fresh leaks have surfaced detailing the expected features of the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 6 and Xiaomi Civi 6 Pro. The new lineup is likely to bring notable upgrades in display, camera technology, and processing power, continuing the brand’s focus on stylish, performance-driven devices.

According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, two unreleased Xiaomi smartphones are in development, believed to be part of the Civi 6 series. While the official names were not directly mentioned, the specifications strongly indicate that these models are the Xiaomi Civi 6 and its Pro variant. Both devices are expected to debut in China in the near future.

The standard Xiaomi Civi 6 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch display with 1.5K resolution, offering sharp visuals and an enhanced viewing experience. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, delivering efficient performance for everyday use and multitasking. In terms of photography, the device may include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom, marking a significant step forward in zoom capabilities for the series.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Civi 6 Pro is expected to arrive with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K display, making it more suitable for users who prefer bigger screens. This model could be equipped with the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, promising improved speed and performance. Similar to the base model, the Pro version is also rumored to feature a 50-megapixel periscope lens with 5x zoom, enhancing long-range photography.

Pricing details hinted in the leak suggest that the Xiaomi Civi 6 lineup may be positioned above CNY 3,000 (approximately Rs. 41,000), indicating a slightly premium segment placement compared to its predecessor.

Earlier rumors had suggested that the Xiaomi Civi 6 might use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but the latest leak points towards MediaTek processors instead. Xiaomi’s Civi series has traditionally been limited to the Chinese market, and the upcoming models are expected to follow the same strategy.

For reference, the previous generation Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, launched in May 2025, came with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a 6.55-inch 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6,000mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging. It also featured a Leica-powered triple camera setup, including dual 50-megapixel sensors and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, along with a 50-megapixel front camera for high-quality selfies.

With the anticipated upgrades in display size, chipset performance, and camera technology, the Xiaomi Civi 6 series is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium mid-range smartphone segment.
