Xiaomi has officially unveiled HyperOS 3, its next-generation operating system built on Android 16, bringing a wave of design improvements, performance upgrades, and new cross-device capabilities. The update focuses on interconnectivity across ecosystems, enhanced AI-powered visuals, and advanced security measures.
Among the headline features is Super Island, Xiaomi’s new interactive notification hub inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, allowing users to track multiple live activities like calls, deliveries, and travel updates at the same time. The update also introduces AI-driven dynamic wallpapers, improved app mirroring on Mac devices, and smarter XiaoAi assistant functionality.
HyperOS 3 Release Timeline and Supported Devices
Xiaomi has confirmed that the HyperOS 3 beta rollout begins on August 29, 2025 for select smartphones and tablets.

- By September 30 → Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14, Redmi K70 Series, Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.
More Xiaomi and Redmi models will gradually join the update cycle from October 2025 onwards.

Xiaomi highlights over 100 system optimisations, powered by its proprietary HyperCore engine. The company claims the new OS reduces CPU load by 4 percent, improves energy efficiency by 10 percent, and lowers animation frame loss by nearly 19 percent.
