Xiaomi has officially teased the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 8 series, set to launch in China later this month alongside the Xiaomi 17 series. The Xiaomi Pad 8 series will feature an 11.2-inch display, a lightweight and portable build, and the new HyperOS 3 interface based on Android 16. Design highlights include a detachable keyboard and stylus support, catering to productivity and creative users alike. Rumors indicate the series will include Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, successors to last year’s Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro models.
Performance upgrades are expected across the lineup, with the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM, a major leap from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Pad 7 Pro. The previous generation, Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, launched in October 2024 with 11.2-inch displays, 3.2K resolution, and 144Hz refresh rates. The Pro model included a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP selfie camera, while the standard Pad 7 had a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front sensor.
