34-Year-Old Health Educator Reveals How Giving Up Rice and Roti Boosted Her Energy and Fitness

Date:

A 34-year-old health educator has sparked widespread discussion after sharing how eliminating rice and roti from her daily meals significantly improved her energy levels digestion and overall health. Akriti Goel explained that she made this lifestyle change to reduce her risk of developing diabetes a condition that runs strongly in her family. For nearly a decade she has avoided traditional high-glycemic staples and for the past two years she has consistently replaced them with protein-rich alternatives such as lentil-based chilas while maintaining a regular strength training routine.

Akriti shared that her decision was driven by long-term health goals rather than short-term weight loss. She highlighted how common dietary habits combined with sedentary lifestyles are contributing to rising cases of diabetes blood pressure issues and other chronic diseases in India. By focusing on balanced meals physical activity and better sleep she believes many lifestyle-related illnesses can be delayed or prevented altogether.

According to her experience switching from wheat and rice to moong dal chila resulted in better digestion no post-meal sluggishness and sustained energy throughout the day. She noted that lentil-based foods offer higher protein comparable fiber and a lower glycemic index which helps prevent sudden blood sugar spikes. Along with this dietary approach she strength trains five times a week and has maintained consistent physical activity for years.

Now studying medicine Akriti claims she feels more energetic than many of her younger peers and does not experience nutritional deficiencies despite avoiding common carbohydrates. She clarified that her approach is not meant to force everyone to give up rice or roti but to encourage people especially those with a family history of diabetes to become more mindful of their food choices exercise habits and sleep patterns early in life.

She also emphasized that while modern medicine has increased life expectancy quality of life often declines due to poor lifestyle habits adopted in early adulthood. Her message focuses on prevention awareness and personal responsibility rather than strict food rules reminding people that small consistent changes can have a powerful long-term impact on health.
