Redmi is reportedly preparing to introduce the Redmi Turbo 5, a powerful mid-range smartphone expected to arrive as the successor to the Redmi Turbo 4. Early details suggest the upcoming device will receive major upgrades in both performance and battery life compared to the previous model.
According to the latest leaks, the Redmi Turbo 5 may arrive with a 6.5-inch LTPS flat display offering 1.5K resolution, promising improved clarity and viewing quality. It is also rumoured to feature a strong metal frame and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, bringing a premium feel to the series.
One of its biggest upgrades could be the massive 7,500mAh battery, reportedly supported by 100W fast charging, offering significantly longer backup than the Redmi Turbo 4’s 6,550mAh battery. The handset may also include an IP68 rating, enhancing its durability against dust and water exposure.
Powering the Redmi Turbo 5, the phone is rumoured to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, aiming to deliver smooth performance in gaming and everyday multitasking. This model is expected to launch early 2026, while global markets may receive the device rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro.
The Redmi Turbo lineup continues to build on the success of the Turbo 4, which featured a 6.67-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, up to 16GB RAM, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary rear camera. With enhancements in design, performance, and battery capacity, the Redmi Turbo 5 could become a major contender in the mid-range smartphone segment next year.
