The Vivo V40 series is anticipated to make its debut in India soon, following its recent launch in Europe. The upcoming smartphones are expected to feature a substantial 5,500mAh battery and an IP68 rating, making them resistant to dust and water. Vivo V40 series is set to be the “slimmest phone” in its category.
The launch in India is projected for August, with reports indicating the series will include the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro models. The Vivo V40 Pro was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting at its imminent release in the Indian market.
According to sources from 91Mobiles, both models will come with a 3D curved display and an Infinity Eye Camera module. The camera setup is expected to feature Zeiss Optics with multifocal portrait capabilities. Additionally, the devices may incorporate a cushioning structure for enhanced durability.
The Vivo V40 is likely to have the same specifications as the European version, which includes a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and paired with an Adreno 720 GPU, the handset offers up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The dual rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a secondary 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, the front camera boasts a 50-megapixel sensor.
