Vivo has showcased the smartphone’s design and revealed several major specifications ahead of launch. The handset follows the Vivo Y500 released earlier this year but arrives with a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset improved camera setup and advanced durability features. A recent appearance on Geekbench has also highlighted strong performance scores hinting at a smooth and capable device for everyday and gaming use.
The Vivo Y500 Pro will feature a 6.67 inch OLED screen that supports a 1.5K resolution promising sharp visuals and smooth motion playback. The brand claims the phone is optimised for 120fps gaming performance in popular MOBA titles offering a more responsive experience for mobile gamers. It ships with Android 16 paired with the latest OriginOS 6 making it the first non flagship Vivo smartphone to launch with the updated software experience.
A standout feature of the device is its 200 megapixel Samsung HP5 rear camera with optical image stabilisation enabling high detail photography and improved low light results. The rear camera system is placed inside a slightly elevated circular module positioned at the centre of the back panel finished in a premium satin style texture. The Y500 Pro also receives IP68 and IP69 ratings providing enhanced protection against dust splashes and water immersion.
Powering the device is a large 7000mAh battery with support for fast 90W charging designed to offer long hours of gaming streaming and productivity without frequent charging interruptions. The Geekbench listing under model number Vivo V2516A reveals an octa core CPU configuration with four high performance cores clocking up to 2.60GHz. It is expected to be available with 12GB memory ensuring improved speed during multitasking and heavy usage.
