French Actress Nadia Farès Passes Away at 57 Following Cardiac Arrest in Paris

Nadia Farès, best known for her role in The Crimson Rivers, has died at the age of 57. The French actress passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, days after she was found unconscious in a swimming pool in Paris.

According to statements shared with Agence France-Presse by her daughters, Cylia Chasman and Shana Chasman, Farès had been in a coma following the incident. The family confirmed her passing with a heartfelt message expressing both national and personal loss.

In a moving tribute, Cylia shared her grief publicly, reflecting on her mother’s strength, love, and the memories they created together. The emotional message highlighted the deep bond between the actress and her children.

Farès began her acting journey in 1990 with a television appearance in Navarro and went on to make her film debut in My Wife’s Girlfriends. Over the years, she built a diverse career with performances in films and television, including Tell Me Yes…, The Crimson Rivers, War, Marseille, Luther, and Toujours possible.

In 2002, she married Steve Chasman and later stepped back from acting in 2009 after relocating to the United States. Despite her break, she remained connected to the industry and was preparing to begin a new chapter behind the camera.

At the time of her passing, Nadia Farès had plans to direct and write her first feature film, an action-comedy project in collaboration with TF1 Studios. Her dedication to evolving creatively reflected her lasting passion for storytelling.

Her death marks the loss of a respected artist whose work spanned decades and crossed international audiences, leaving behind a legacy in both cinema and television.
