The Realme C85 5G, which recently launched in Vietnam as an affordable 5G device, is now expected to arrive in India later this month. Reports suggest that Realme plans to expand its C-series lineup with this new addition, closely resembling the Realme 15x 5G in design and specifications.
Leaks indicate that the Realme C85 5G will feature the same display and processor as the Realme 15x 5G but will include an 8-megapixel front camera and 45W fast charging support. In comparison, the Realme 15x 5G offers a 50-megapixel selfie camera and 60W SuperVOOC charging. Due to these slight downgrades, the C85 5G is expected to launch at a lower price point in India.
According to insider sources, the smartphone will likely be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and offer up to 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The device could also feature a 7,000mAh battery and Android 14-based Realme UI.
In addition to Realme’s upcoming release, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is also preparing to introduce its Redmi 15C series and the Redmi Note 15 lineup in India soon. The Redmi 15C is said to come in both 4G and 5G variants, powered by the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra and Dimensity 6300 chipsets, respectively. The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ models are expected to debut by January 2026, offering upgraded cameras and performance over the Note 14 series.
Both brands appear set to strengthen their presence in the Indian mid-range smartphone market, with multiple product launches expected before early 2026.
