HMD has introduced the Terra M a highly durable smart feature phone crafted specifically for field workers government teams defence personnel and enterprise environments that require secure and dependable communication tools. The device expands the company’s portfolio under the HMD Secure platform following earlier enterprise-grade launches. The Terra M is scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2026 through HMD Secure channels and select authorised partners. Since this model is designed for demanding workplaces the company notes that availability may differ by market based on enterprise requirements and regulatory considerations. Built to withstand extreme conditions the HMD Terra M carries MIL STD 810H military certification along with IP68 and IP69K ratings offering resistance against dust water and high pressure environments. The phone is engineered to survive drops from up to 1.8 metres making it suitable for construction sites emergency units manufacturing floors and outdoor field operations. It features a 2.8 inch glove friendly touchscreen programmable push to talk keys an emergency button and a powerful loudspeaker optimised for noisy surroundings. Depending on business needs the Terra M can include preloaded apps such as Zello Threema OsmAnd Lyfo and SOTI MobiControl. HMD promises five years of quarterly security updates ensuring long term reliability. The 2510mAh battery is rated for up to ten days of standby usage making it ideal for shift based operations where continuous uptime is critical.
HMD is also offering enterprise ready accessories including a stackable charging dock capable of powering up to ten devices simultaneously using one cable and a rugged belt clip holster for field mobility.
