According to reports, her potential casting would mark her return to a major comic-book franchise four years after concluding her journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If the deal progresses, Johansson will first complete filming for The Exorcist, a project she recently signed onto, before shifting her focus to the highly anticipated Batman sequel. She is expected to join Robert Pattinson, who will once again step into the role of the Dark Knight under the direction of Matt Reeves, who is also co-writing the screenplay.
