Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold is set to debut on August 13, with the Pixel 9 series following on August 14 in India. As Google’s first foldable smartphone to be released in India, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is generating significant anticipation. Recent leaks have revealed its display, dimensions, and other specifications. It is also expected to be priced similarly to its predecessor.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, leaked marketing materials indicate that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature larger displays compared to its predecessor. It is expected to include a 6.3-inch Actua cover display and an 8-inch Super Actua main display with rounded corners.
The smartphone will likely incorporate Google’s Titan M2 security chip and an integrated VPN. AI features, such as Circle to Search, Magic Editor, and Best Take, are expected, along with a new ‘Add Me’ feature that allows users to add themselves to group photos using AI technology.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s retail box is anticipated to contain the handset, a USB Type-C cable, and a SIM ejector tool, but no charging brick. There is no mention of the Quick Switch adapter usually supplied with Google smartphones.
In terms of dimensions, the device is reported to measure 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.1 mm when folded and 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.5 mm when unfolded, making it thinner than its predecessor and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. Although it is expected to be lighter than the Pixel Fold, it will still weigh 257g, placing it on the heavier side among foldable smartphones.
Pricing for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to be similar to its predecessor. According to 91Mobiles, the device may be available in two storage variants: 256GB and 512GB, with prices around $1,799 (approximately Rs. 1,51,000) and $1,919 (approximately Rs. 1,61,000) respectively.
