Global Sensation BTS Jin Shuts Down Gucci Website After Brand Ambassador Announcement

Date:

Fans were left in awe as BTS member Jin’s influence caused the Gucci and Fred websites to crash following his global ambassador announcement. Fresh from completing his military service, Jin has been named the global face for the renowned Italian luxury brand Gucci as of August 8. This highly anticipated collaboration generated such an overwhelming response that Gucci’s Japanese website temporarily crashed. Japan, known for its deep K-pop fan base and significant number of Jin’s solo admirers, played a crucial role in this surge.

Hot on the heels of being named Fred Jewelry’s global ambassador, Jin has now been revealed as Gucci’s newest representative. The Italian fashion powerhouse quickly secured the popular BTS member, whose massive global appeal is a significant win for the brand. The official announcement on August 8 sent the fandom into a frenzy, leading to a surge in traffic that caused Gucci’s Japanese website to go down temporarily.

BTS’ Jin has captivated millions as Gucci’s global brand ambassador with the brand’s creative director Sabato De Sarno describing him as “truly magnetic.” Fans across the world expressed their excitement online, with many rushing to the websites to purchase items simply because of Jin’s association. The crashes of both FRED and Gucci’s websites highlight the extraordinary impact Jin has on the luxury market.

Just weeks earlier, Fred, a luxury jewelry brand based in Paris, also experienced a website crash shortly after announcing Jin as their global ambassador. Fans quickly labeled these incidents as “Jin’s impact,” with many humorously warning brands to prepare for this new normal. Japan, in particular, seems to have a special fondness for Jin, as seen by the overwhelming response from his fans there.

With Jin’s recent appointment, all seven BTS members now represent top luxury brands globally. Jin joins Gucci and Fred Joaillier, RM represents Bottega Veneta, J-Hope is the face of Louis Vuitton, Jimin partners with Dior and Tiffany & Co., V is with Celine and Cartier, Suga collaborates with Valentino and NBA, and Jungkook represents Calvin Klein Jeans.
